The Doors of Destiny (could not be broken)
Well everyone, it was a good effort - but we were rejected for our interview. The following is an email I received from Mr. Mitsuda's manager regarding our outreach efforts for a short interview:

IRC chat service downtime
It looks like our VPS account for the chat service is broken. I'll have to set up a new IRC service on my other account in a few weeks. In the meantime, the IRC chat service will remain down.
French Chrono TV Special, Current Price of Radical Dreamers Cartridge
First up is the French Chrono TV special. Seru-Kun figured this one out. Have fun!
This shop in Japan (Mandarake) sells a Radical Dreamers Cartridge. The value is shown as about 700$.
Right beneath it you see a Dynami Tracer (which game engine is based on Chrono Trigger), which has a listed price of about 500$. (you can't see the whole price, but it must something around 44000 Yen)
I picked this photo from a facebook account and it was taken yesterday. Maybe someone is curious about info like this. ;)
Priceless Doujinshi Listing, Kingdom Trial, and New Gurus!
The Chrono Compendium now hosts a priceless listing of doujinshi, featuring cover/back pages and organized chronologically by publication. Check it out at this page. This is really something... It's an incredible task to gather so many wonderful creations, let alone catalogue them and provide cover scans. I'm not aware of anything that's come close to this, except for CuteLucca's old doujinshi listing. We haven't scanned the actual doujinshis themselves, as this would be unfair to the authors and earn the Compendium a pretty hated reputation. Still, for a listing like this to exist... It's a priceless jewel for the site. Many, many thanks to the benefactor who made this all possible -- Angerona!
ChronoMoogle has let us know that the new single F.A.V. (by German rapper Favorite) contains several samples of the Kingdom Trial from Chrono Trigger. Check out the single here; the samples come in right at the beginning! Many thanks to ChronoMoogle for this tidbit.
It's time for a new Guru court! The Guru system never was the same after the cease & desist order, as a big part of it was recognizing contributions to ROM hacking. The Chrono series is also wilting. Less activity and fewer projects spells fewer opportunities to make a great contribution (outside translating interviews, which we perpetually need). We have to give a hand to everyone still keeping the fire! [REASON] First up is the new Guru of Reason, Angerona! She's contributed so much, it's ridiculous. Did you enjoy that ultra hi-res Chrono Trigger art? Thank Angerona. What about that glimpse at early character art out of the Chrono Trigger V-Jump Player's Guide? Yep. How about all the new merchandise listings? Again. And that crown jewel doujinshi page? Bingo. We are in your debt. [TIME] Next is Guru of Time...Clovis15! How long has it been since that team's been cranking out new Chrono Trigger Unglued episodes? CTU is without a doubt a successful fan project. [LIFE] And the new Guru of Life is rushingwind, who contributed a lot of technical help earlier this year and late last. Dealing with and migrating backups of the Chronofan server and CSMA can be a massive chore, so many, many thanks to rushingwind for keeping it all under lock and key during that busy stretch of months. Things might have been hopelessly out of date otherwise!
[LATE-BREAKING FAN ART] Just noticed a new submission from the site's e-mail -- it's the new Chrono Universe Collection from artist UltimaOrigin, an effort to draw all characters from Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross! It's off to a smashing start with three pieces: [ Crono - Lucca & Robo - Marle ]
Chrono Trigger rated by the ESRB, headed to North American Virtual Console.
It appears that that the ESRB has officially rated a Virtual Console version of Chrono Trigger to be released on the Wii sometime this year.
Though it presumably lacks any of the DS additions, it will most likely sell for 900 Wii points as it is currently selling for in Japan, meaning it is substantially cheaper than the DS version.
Spring Update! Huge Chrono Triggert Art Explosion!
Time to kick off SPRING! We have a ton of new high-resolution Chrono Trigger art, courtesy of Angerona! It all comes from this Toriyama artbook. The bad news is that they didn't see fit to include Lucca, Robo, or Ayla's character art, nor a couple scenes/any NPC art. There's still a LOT of amazing stuff here! Check it out: [SCENES] [ Box Art - The Pendant - Magic Cave - Magus Battle - Medina Battle - Dactyl Ride - Resting at Lucca's - Forest Camp - Jet Bike (Designs) - Epoch (Designs) ] [CHARACTERS] [ Cast - Crono - Marle - Frog - Magus ]
[PROJECTS] utunnels had made another PC Radical Dreamers project that interprets Demiforce's script dump to provide gameplay in a new environment. Check it out at this thread! [2] Licawolf's made an awesome concept for a Chronopolis-themed alternate reality game. We've put it up as a feature! Find it here and enjoy the luscious shots. You can find vectorized versions of the logos here! [3] Check out the first CT Unglued voice episode here! Get in on casting for the next episode here.
[CONSUMABLES] Bard of Time has submitted some cool Chrono series skins for Minecraft; download them here! [2] neologix has made a font called Trigger Bold, based off Lunar Archivist's old work on the Chrono Trigger font. Grab the TTF file here! [3] mysticalpha's Chrono Trigger comic has been updated! Check out 40 Future Friends and 41 Grind.
[DOUJINS] [ The Spoony Bards - First Course ][ Zephyr Cradle - Zephyr Violin Duo ] [REMIXES] [ 'To Far Away Inspirations' by Squint ][ 'Forest Refuge 2011 WIP 1' by CC Ricers ][ 'Janus, Schala, and the Ocean Palace' by Counter-Colette ][ 'Yearnings of the Wind' by Mr. RK ]
[FAN FICTION] Starting things off is alfadorredux with an update of Chrono Helix; find it here! [2] PrincessSchalaZeal follows with Fiendlady Saga II - The Sapphire-Haired Shadow! [FAN ART] First is Licawolf with a few great contributions! [ In Another Time... - Marle x Magus - Oekaki Collection - The Mandora Monster - Thieves who Stole the Stars ] [2] Next is Ema with the very cool Type Poster. [3] Following Ema, we have CuyahogaRiver with four sketches! [ Kid and Serge sketch - Lucca sketch - Lynx sketch - Kid Sketch 2 ] [4] Next is Tact,, with the greatest thing since Hehhh hehehzzzzzz no Billy. It's Lost his continuity! [6] Last but not least is the venerable ChronoWeapon, with Cyrus and Schala, Lost Souls. Thanks to all submitters! [OUTSIDE] We've had a lot of great stuff posted to the fan art thread for other sites. Check it out here! [5] Lady Marle's made some amazing fan stamps! They're centralized at this thread and mirrored in the fan art section.

Chrono Trigger on Playstation Network (Finally)
This just in from IGN.com:
"With so many PSX-era Square titles getting dumped onto the PlayStation Network recently, many gamers were left wondering when an SNES-era favorite might join the party.
We're of course talking about Chrono Trigger. Originally released on the Super Nintendo in 1995, Chrono Trigger saw re-release on the PlayStation in 2001, packaged Stateside with Final Fantasy IV in the compilation known as Final Fantasy Chronicles. Other SNES-turned-PlayStation Square RPGs have recently been announced, such as Final Fantasy V and Final Fantasy VI, adding fuel to the fire that Chrono Trigger had to be right around the corner.
Well, now we have confirmation. The ESRB has rated Chrono Trigger for release on PlayStation 3 and PSP, signifying that Chrono Trigger will arrive sometime soon on the PlayStation Store as a PSone Classic.
Unfortunately, there's no word yet on a release date for Chrono Trigger on the PSN."
